## What you need

- An MCP server for Datadog, connected in Claude Code, or the claude.ai Datadog connector.

## Connect

`/kotharo:setup` finds Datadog and takes you through these steps. To connect it by hand:

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http datadog "https://mcp.datadoghq.com/v1/mcp?toolsets=core,error-tracking"
```

Or add the claude.ai Datadog connector, which reaches the same server.

## Sign in

A team on another Datadog site connects its own host instead of mcp.datadoghq.com: mcp.us3.datadoghq.com, mcp.us5.datadoghq.com, mcp.datadoghq.eu, mcp.ap1.datadoghq.com, mcp.ap2.datadoghq.com or mcp.uk1.datadoghq.com. Run /mcp in a Claude Code session and sign in to Datadog with OAuth; never add API or application key headers. A Datadog admin must turn on MCP Access for the organization, and your role needs mcp_read.
