# Doppler

Connects Kotharo to Doppler for secrets. [All adapters](https://kotharo.com/docs/adapters/)

## What you need

- The `doppler` command, from [Doppler CLI](https://docs.doppler.com/docs/install-cli).
- The `jq` command, from [jq](https://jqlang.org/download/).

## Connect

`/kotharo:setup` finds Doppler and takes you through these steps. To connect it by hand:

Install Doppler CLI. [Its install page](https://docs.doppler.com/docs/install-cli) covers other systems.

macOS:

```
brew install gnupg && brew install dopplerhq/cli/doppler
```

Windows, in Git Bash:

```
winget install doppler.doppler
```

Linux:

```
(curl -Ls --tlsv1.2 --proto "=https" --retry 3 https://cli.doppler.com/install.sh || wget -t 3 -qO- https://cli.doppler.com/install.sh) | sudo sh
```

Install jq. [Its install page](https://jqlang.org/download/) covers other systems.

macOS:

```
brew install jq
```

Windows, in Git Bash:

```
winget install jqlang.jq
```

Linux:

```
sudo apt-get install jq
```

## Sign in

Run doppler login, which opens a browser, then doppler setup in the repo root to pick the project and config.

To check you are signed in, run `doppler me`.
