# Netlify

Connects Kotharo to Netlify for deploys. [All adapters](https://kotharo.com/docs/adapters/)

## What you need

- An MCP server for Netlify, connected in Claude Code, or the claude.ai Netlify connector.
- The `netlify` command, from [Netlify CLI](https://docs.netlify.com/api-and-cli-guides/cli-guides/get-started-with-cli/).
- The `jq` command, from [jq](https://jqlang.org/download/).

## Connect

`/kotharo:setup` finds Netlify and takes you through these steps. To connect it by hand:

```
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http netlify https://netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp
```

Or add the claude.ai Netlify connector, which reaches the same server.

Install Netlify CLI. [Its install page](https://docs.netlify.com/api-and-cli-guides/cli-guides/get-started-with-cli/) covers other systems.

macOS:

```
npm install -g netlify-cli
```

Windows, in Git Bash:

```
npm install -g netlify-cli
```

Linux:

```
npm install -g netlify-cli
```

Install jq. [Its install page](https://jqlang.org/download/) covers other systems.

macOS:

```
brew install jq
```

Windows, in Git Bash:

```
winget install jqlang.jq
```

Linux:

```
sudo apt-get install jq
```

## Sign in

Run netlify login, which opens a browser, and netlify link in the repo root to pick the site. Run /mcp in a Claude Code session and sign in to Netlify.

To check you are signed in, run `netlify api listAccountsForUser`.
