# Terraform

Connects Kotharo to Terraform for infrastructure as code. [All adapters](https://kotharo.com/docs/adapters/)

## What you need

- The `terraform` command, from [Terraform](https://developer.hashicorp.com/terraform/install).

## Connect

`/kotharo:setup` finds Terraform and takes you through these steps. To connect it by hand:

Install Terraform. [Its install page](https://developer.hashicorp.com/terraform/install) covers other systems.

macOS:

```
brew tap hashicorp/tap && brew install hashicorp/tap/terraform
```

Windows, in Git Bash:

```
choco install terraform
```

Linux:

```
brew tap hashicorp/tap && brew install hashicorp/tap/terraform
```

## Sign in

Sign in to each cloud the Terraform code uses with that cloud's own CLI, such as aws sso login, az login or gcloud auth application-default login. For HCP Terraform or Terraform Enterprise, run terraform login.
